Lucky for us, there are some fantastic local spots to grab some grub! Here are a few of our favorite places around town. more Manuel’s Steakhouse Perfect for date nights, special occasions, or just any time you want a mouthwatering steak, Manuel’s Steakhouse is one of the best in town. This is much more than a steakhouse though. They have all the classic cuts you’re looking for and outstanding seafood, but they also have a full menu of Mexican classics like chalupas, chile rellenos, enchiladas, and tacos. That’s not to mention their more unique options like quail, frog legs, and cabrito (baby goat). Pair any of that with some queso flameado and you are in for a fantastic night! Lou’s Woodfire Pizza This is New York style pizza with a Texas attitude! Lou’s Woodfire Pizza is a fantastic place to grab a classic New York slice right here on the border. You can build your own pizza from their large selection of toppings (which includes unique options like shrimp), but we recommend going with one of their specialty pies. A couple of our favortes are The Queen, a white pizza with basil, garlic, and artichoke, and the Shrimp Jalapeño Popper with shrimp, jalapeños, bacon, and cream cheese. They also have fantastic pasta dishes and sandwiches, so there’s a little something for everyone. 830 Kitchen If you’re looking for some of the best comfort food in town, look no further than 830 Kitchen. They serve up outstanding burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads, but for our money, their number one attraction is their appetizers. They offer fried pickles, grilled street corn, homemade kettle chip spirals, avocado fries, and many more fried goodies. Everything is cooked up fresh for a fantastic meal every time!
